Taking one item and turning it into another, more useful item probably isn’t anything new to you. It’s how plumbing hose and a funnel became a beer bong. How macaroni pieces and Elmer’s glue became art. Scrap plywood and 2×4 became a bike shelf. Now, it’s how a vintage, worn-in US military duffel bag became another, well, duffel bag. Using canvas salvaged from WWII era duffels, Etsy seller Forestbound creates weekend bags that have as much utility as character. The canvas is mated to cotton webbing handles (again, salvaged from WWII era supplies) and a should strap, and the entire package is secured with brass hardware and brown leather. All the utility of an Army bag, slightly modified for everyday use.
