Ricoh cameras hold a certain retro appeal among photography enthusiasts. The simple construction and point-and-shoot nature made them solid mid-range film cameras and, in the early days of digital cameras, a desirable purchase. Now, getting your hands on a new (or used) Ricoh camera is a difficult task. It just got a little easier, though, as Ricoh has announced a new version of its GR camera. The Diary Edition sports a warm-grey metallic finish and natural-silver ring cap which feels both stylishly modern and charmingly old-school. The Ricoh GR III also offers some solid technical specs like a 24MP APS-C sensor, an 18.3mm F2.8 lens, ISO sensitivity up to 102400, 3-axis image stabilization, and 6 element lens construction. Plus, thanks to built-in smartphone integration, you can easily send images to your phone for quick access. The Ricoh GR III Diary Edition is available now for pre-order just over $1,000 with an expected launch date of May 10.
