When Land Rover mod shops are doing up Defenders all day long, Portuguese outfit The House of Cool is taking a soft left by restomodding a classic Land Rover Series III. Rather than murdering it out in black and festooning it with all manner of accessories, this one gets a heavy dose of “less is more”. It’s clad in grey paint with a red bed and interior walls, black steel wheels, and that all-important hood-mounted spare tire. The dose of luxury comes in the form of brown Alcantara suede upholstery on the seats and dash. Under the hood is a rebuilt 2.29-liter diesel engine and gearbox, and there’s even power steering added to the mix, which should make it much more drivable. It’s up for sale now, and no doubt it will go soon.
