KTM has made a supercar version of its X-Bow track toy, and it’s not messing around. The hardtop gets an Audi-sourced 2.5 TFSI turbocharged inline-five engine that’s good for nearly 500 horses and 429 lb-ft of torque mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 0-62 mph comes in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 174 mph. It has a carbon fiber body, camera side mirrors, and an adjustable suspension setup. The GT-XR also can be outfitted with a hydraulic lifting system to help mitigate driveway lips and other such threats to the car’s super-low clearance. The price is a rather steep $287k, but it should prove to be a thrill to drive on the tarmac. You can pre-order now on the KTM site.
