Amsterdam’s VanMoof is all about two-wheeled electric urban mobility, and they’ve just unveiled their next-gen e-bikes. The S5 and E5 are meant to be as easy to use as possible, and they provide a quick visual update via their new Halo Ring Interface that’s located on the handlebars. You get a snapshot of the status of speed, battery life, and connectivity. The S5 and the step-through A5 also get a new Gen 5 motor that’s more powerful and quieter for quick and stealth trips. You can also get an optional phone mount and USB-C charging port so you can use your smartphone as an instrument cluster. The e-bikes get topped off with a new in-wheel lock that automatically unlocks when you approach the bike with your smartphone. Pre-orders are underway now with deliveries this summer.
