You really only need to look at the cover of this book to know it’s worth getting. Just look at it. That’s Dennis Hopper, on a motorcycle, with a mustache that deserves its own movie deal and a pad in the Hollywood Hills. The book chronicles Hopper’s years in the industry, working with director heavyweights like Coppola, Altman, and Lynch, and raising hell has Hollywood’s golden boy, and later, its pariah. Showcases many unseen photos–some of which are from Hopper’s personal collection–of those days and nights of Los Angeles. And while his recent death means the world is now down about 80 percent on it’s quota of bad-assery, at least we can read about the man.
