Bahrain Raid Xtreme (BRX) may not have done well in the 2021 Dakar Rally, but it has since been updated to go balls out for 2022. Developed by the folks at Prodrive, the Hunter just received 37-inch tires and 17-inch wheel (upsized from 32 and 16, respectively), as well as more suspension travel and a wider track. The Hunter also gets lighter onboard jacks that operate faster for quick tire changes. The engine is still a potent Ford-sourced 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 good for about 400 horsepower. The car will undergo rigorous testing this fall and will hopefully be ready in January of 2022. This car could give rise to a street-legal version with a bespoke interior and room for more than two.
