Casey Brown Architecture Permanent Camping MkII Structure

Casey Brown Architecture Permanent Camping MkII Structure
For almost four decades, Australia-based Casey Brown Architecture Studio has been collecting awards and building projects in direct response to climate, topography, and lifestyle perspectives that most other designers/brands/builders choose to ignore. The Permanent Camping MkII Structure–aka Permanent Camping 2–is the perfect example of the brand’s commitment to sustainability and its ability to produce excellent spaces in the process. Situated in the lush green paddocks of Berry, Australia, this wilderness retreat is based on a twin tower, angular copper design–kind of reminds us of the Jawas from Star Wars if we’re being honest–that includes rooms for beds, bathrooms, decks, fireplaces, kitchens, lounging areas and anything else you could imagine. It’s distinctly modern while simultaneously connecting to the roots of frontier-style living, which is why we’re strongly considering booking a trip to live out the rest of our days in one.
