If you were ever into remote-controlled cars back in the ’80s and ’90s as a kid, you can bring those memories back in full-sized reality with a drivable version of Tamiya’s Wild One. It’s called the Wild One MAX, and it’s been done up to grown-up-sized delights thanks to The Little Car Company in the UK. The original R/C car was so popular that Tamiya revived it in 2012. The full-sized version goes on sale a decade later in 2022, and it promises to be as much (if not more) of a hoot as the tiny version. The dune-buggy look is carried over with a full roll cage, red/black/orange colorway, and the decals from the R/C car. It’s also super-compact (think smaller than a Fiat 500), super-light (551 pounds), and will be powered by an electric motor that propels it to 30 mph and provides 25 miles of range. While it’s no speed demon, it should still be pretty quick and nimble. It can also be customized with performance and tire upgrades, as well as mods to make it U.S. street-legal.
