Using recycled materials for sneakers is the way of the world, and Converse is doing it with their Renew lineup. The brand’s latest low top in the locker is the Chuck 70 Knit that uses 25% recycled materials based on total weight. The colorful outsole and midsole are made with 12% recycled rubber footwear scraps, laces are 100% recycled material, the sockliner is made with 75% recycled OrthoLite, and the stretchy knit upper uses 85% recycled polyester thread. And since they’re breathable, the Renew Chucks are perfect for casual summer duty, which is just around the corner.
