When it comes to iconic skate shoes, there are few brands that have consistently done it as well as Vans. Van took their popular Authentic silhouette and converted it into the perfect beach shoe by constructing it out of a single-piece of injected rubber. This construction method makes the shoe durable, collapsible and rinsable, and it also includes an oversized reverse waffle sole for added traction. They wouldn’t be classic Vans or good beach shoes if they didn’t have a pattern and all the sand and water got stuck inside, so they added square drainage holes throughout in a checkerboard pattern. Are the Vans Trek Slip-Ons essentially a better looking and more well built version of a certain popular rubber slip-on that’s also filled with holes? Yes, but we’re ok with that because we want beach shoes we can proudly wear around after a day in the sun. Vans Trek Slip-Ons are available now in black, blue, green and purple.
