At some point, we’ve all seen a vintage touring bus and thought about what we would do to return it to operation. The team at the Bobby Hotel in Nashville found a Greyhound bus that fits the bill, but rather than restoring it for road duty–they teamed up with Hemphill Brothers Coach Company and Schweiss Doors to convert it from road-worthy people mover to roof-going people pleaser in the form of an elevated, rooftop lounge. It’s an enormous interior space that you and almost a dozen of your friends can safely enjoy, while still being just a stone’s throw from the pool, lounging and dining areas already available on the hotel’s roof. The boutique, hydraulic-powered door space is generally used as an open air lounge, but we’re willing to the Bobby Hotel would make it a more “intimate” experience if the price was right.
