In case you’re somehow unfamiliar with the legend that is Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, he’s an Internet celebrity and YouTube personality famous for his ridiculous stunts and equally ridiculous philanthropic acts of kindness. For his next feat, instead of donating $100k to a zero-follower streamer, raising $20mil to plant trees or counting to absurdly high numbers on stream, he’s going to give someone $25,000 just for being the last person to keep their finger on their phone. The latest MrBeast spectacle is done in partnership with Internet collective MSCHF and plays out much like the “last hand on the car” scheme that’s been a thing for ages–except this time around it’s an app called “Finger on the App.” You fire up the app. You put your finger on your phone screen. You move your finger when it tells you to. The last person in the game with their finger on their phone wins up to $25,000. It’s that easy. The Finger on the App game launches on Tuesday, June 30th at 3pm EST. The last person with their finger on the app wins, so make sure you’re ready to go tomorrow if you want to be eligible for the $25,000 prize pool.
