Bigger isn’t always better, and in the case of SEGA’s new tiny handheld gaming devices, diminutive is where it’s at. The company is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a re-issue of their Game Gear portable device. But this time, the Game Gear Micro is substantially smaller to the point where it fits in the palm of your hand. Measuring a mere 80mm wide x 43mm high x 20mm deep, it can literally go anywhere you go. The gaming screen measures 1.15 inches, so farsighted need not apply. The Micro comes in four colors, each pre-loaded with different games that include Sonic and Out Run on the black unit, Sonic Chaos on the blue, Shining Force titles on the yellow, and Megami Tensei Gaiden on the red. If you buy all four models, SEGA will send you a magnifying glass attachment for better viewing. The Micro can charge via USB or power via 2 AAA batteries. It will be released on October 6th, and mass squinting will ensue.
