Ford has made its historic Mustang Cobra Jet a tad more modern by packing in 1,400 horsepower worth of electric motivation. Their newest dragster prototype, known as the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400, is all-electric for the first time in the car’s 52-year history. What does this mean? Well, first of all, near-instant torque (to the tune of 1,100 lb-ft.) from the word go and a quarter-mile time of under 9-seconds. And it should be able to do all of this without much sound but tons of fury. Ford Motor Company stated the new Cobra Jet 1400 is still undergoing crucial testing before its world debut later in 2020.
