Although Seiko’s new Presage Series Limited Edition Crown Chronograph isn’t an exact recreation of Japan’s first chronograph with stopwatch functionality, made for the 1964 Summer Olympic Games, the 55th anniversary homage line looks awfully close to the original. Features like the bezel, dial, markers, and crown carry forward into the modern interpretation beautifully, as well as the iconic oyster-style chain link stainless steel bracelet, and an updated 41.3mm case. Inside is the wonderful in-house Calibre 6R35 automatic movement with 24 jewels and a significant 70-hour power reserve. Three dial colors (warm silver, black, and forest green) will be available with each color limited to a mere 1,964 units each. The Presage Series Limited Edition Crown Chronographs go on sale this March.
