Though the Monster Suite promises nightmarish entertainment with its super-creepy decor, it does not promise sweet slumber. Strewn with the kind of decor that will have you sucking your thumb in the fetal position and asking for mommy, the room is situated on the grounds of the Museo de las Artes in Guadalajara, Mexico, where guests who book the room can get a nighttime tour of a special exhibit with del Toro’s illustrious films, comics, and personal collection of bizarre tchotchkes. The room itself, is decorated in red, black, and gold and has items like gas masks, corked vials, bell jars with macabre specimens, and dolls that just might kill you in your sleep. The one item we can’t get over is the Alien Xenomorph-like creature that’s marinating in a giant container on the wall. The limited-time offer lets renters book one of the following three dates: October 3-5, and they can only be booked at midnight on September 18, 19, and 20th. Just make sure you bring a very comforting friend along because you sure as hell don’t want to do this alone.
