Whether you find them walking down the streets of Brooklyn, on the posts at concert venues or on the bathroom walls in your favorite dives, there’s no denying the artistic impact stickers have had since they were adopted by many subcultures as a way of expression. Stickers Deluxe: From Punk Rock to Contemporary Art was a popular hardcover tome from almost a decade ago that covered the history of the sticker through the worlds of street art, DIY culture, music and branding through almost 4,000 stickers. Author DB Burkeman is back with a new collection of contributors for the follow up: Stickers Vol. 2: From Punk Rock to Contemporary Art. (aka More Stuck-Up Crap). This time around, it’s 250+ pages filled with more than 3,000 extravagant illustrations of sticker graphics organized by category and theme. Stickers 2 includes works from diverse artists like Tom Sachs, Jenny Holzer and Banksy to name a few, along with text from writers ranging from Jeffery Deitch to Mark Mothersbaugh. And yes, there are plenty of removable stickers (125!) in the back that you can use to plaster the walls around you.
