1969 Dodge Charger “General Lee” Stunt Car Goes Up for Auction

If you grew up watching ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’, then you easily remember tight denim shorts, white suits, and most importantly the General Lee car helmed by Bo and Luke Duke that jumped creeks and evaded Roscoe P. Coltrane and his forces. This 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee Stunt Car is actually from the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie but bears the same essentials as the TV car. The car up for auction is Stunt Car #20, and its duties were pretty hardcore during filming, so it’s not some poseur. Under the hood is a big V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. The ‘01’ and Confederate Flag decals are present, as well as the body damage incurred directly from its film stunts. It should sell anywhere from $50-$70K at Mecum Auctions between May 14 and May 19.
