In one of its many iterations, Mabot Modular Robots looks like a cross between Pixar’s Wall-E and Ice Age’s crazy Sid character, all made with what appears to be a slew of yellow Pokemon Poke balls. Mabot Modular Robots is a unique looking but incredibly brilliant introduction into the world of STEM robotics. Kids can create their own robots by employing coding, engineering, and mechanics to their hearts’ delight. It’s a plug-and-play dream come true that also uses apps for motion and action control. What’s more, the Mabot ball modules are compatible with LEGO pieces that add versatility and variety to the already expansive kits available for purchase. The only problem with Mabot Robots is that you’ll likely end up playing with it yourself after your kids go to bed instead of working on that report for work.
