More a fan of computing history than supercars? Bust out the piggy bank because an extremely rare Apple-1 computer is heading to auction in September. Originally made as one of about 200 by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in the 1970s, this Apple-1 computer includes the original board, cassette interface, manuals, keyboard, Sanyo video monitor and all the other accessories you’ll need to make this vintage piece of tech function like it would have decades ago. But even after being expertly restored by Corey Cohen in June of this year, don’t expect too much from this dinosaur, because it’s severely underpowered when compared to even the most basic cellphone. It won’t run even the most classic video game, but it’s a piece of history nonetheless with a price tag to match. When the gavel eventually falls, the functional Apple-1 Computer is estimated to fetch between $300,000 and $400,000 according to the auction house.
