Fujifilm is adding to their line of retro-styled, mirrorless cameras that won’t break the bank with the new X-T100, which is set for release next month. If you’ve spent any time using one of the other cameras in the X-T series, the design will feel very familiar, with the three control dials on the top cover and an easy-to-grip coating on the parts of the aluminum body you actually hold. And while it comes in colors that would make Apple fans happy (Dark Silver, Black, Champagne Gold), it’s the hardware that’s the real selling point. Three-way tilting LCD monitor. Organic EL electronic viewfinder. 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor. Fast autofocus. Compatibility with the whole X Mount lens range. 1080p video at 60fps and a limited 4K mode with 15fps. If you want a camera capable of taking great pictures that also has that sweet retro vibe—without missing a mortgage payment to make it yours—the $600 Fujifilm X-T100 mirrorless camera fits the bill perfectly.
