We’ve covered quite a few houses with incredible home features over the years. Having a pool seems like a pretty commonplace ask and not all that noteworthy, but that changes when you want the pool right next to the living room. This was what Fernanda Marques Arquitetos Associados tackled in a duplex apartment in São Paulo, Brazil. Marques, who was trained at the University of São Paulo’s School of Architecture and Urbanism, designed a pool enclosure from glass that stretches the entire length of the first floor living room and is as high as the ceiling would be if the room wasn’t so expansive. Accessing the pool can be done via stairs outside, or through the door next to the lofted bedroom upstairs. The minimal design of the space allows the client’s impressive art and furniture collection, along with features like vertical plant walls, to really take center stage despite the fact there’s a pool in the house.
