In case you’re not familiar with the work of Mr Bingo, he was a commercial illustrator for 15 years who worked with clients ranging from the The New Yorker and The New York Times to The Guardian and TIME. But it wasn’t until 2011 when his career as one of the Internet’s favorite assholes kicked off with the advent of the Hate Mail project. Conceived of while admittedly “a bit drunk,” Hate Mail saw Mr Bingo send a vintage postcard with an offensive message to the first person that responded on social media. The entire project quickly spiraled out of control and ultimately led to 1 Fucking Book, the curated, archived, definitive collection of Bingo’s favorites from the entire Hate Mail project. 340 pages of offensive postcards in a cloth-bound casing that’s ready for display with pride on your coffee table.
