Since we launched Word., our notebook brand that brings stylish organization to your to-do lists, no product has been loved as much as The Standard Memorandum. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the pocket journal is back for its fifth year. Yup, it’s The Standard Memorandum’s 5th anniversary. Like the ones that came before it, the 2018 Standard Memorandum was done in collaboration with artist Jon Contino, who did the design work and helped inspire the entire project a half decade ago. Years back, Contino found a box of his wife’s great-grandfather’s pocket journals from the early 1900s. After spending time with the old notebooks, a beautiful, full picture of his wife’s great-grandfather emerged. These journals are an incredibly accurate recreation of those storied journals, down to the shape, color, and layout. It will allow you to chronicle a year of your life, jotting just a few short lines every day for a year. And we’ve got news for you, if 2017 was any indication, 2018 might have some note-worthy moments. Then, when you’re done, tuck them away so you can pass them down many years from now. Plus, they make fantastic gifts, so maybe stuff someone’s stocking with one. Whether buying for yourself or someone else, we recommend picking one up now, as The Standard Memorandum always sells fast.
