If you’re an avid Cool Material reader, Chris Burkard is probably a name you’re familiar with. The adventure photographer has been mentioned numerous times around these parts, as he’s amassed a loyal following of some 2 million fans on Instagram. For all the traveling Burkard does, he needs a ride up to the task. So, to traverse the country, Burkard tapped Advanture Co., a California-based outfit that turns old vans into superior adventure machines. What started as a 2006 Sprinter ended up as one of the slickest travel vans we’ve ever seen. The team outfitted the van with plenty of storage for Burkards photography and travel equipment, a bed, and a killer audio system. A matte green paint job gives the van a military-esque vibe, while a few creature comforts make life on the road managable. You can check out a video to see more about the conversion.
