Amazon Echo Spot

Amazon Echo Spot

Amazon dropped a bunch of new products yesterday, all with the aim of making your home smarter. The most noteworthy of the bunch is the new Amazon Echo Spot, which exists somewhere between clock and mini computer. Drop the Echo Spot on your nightstand, in your kitchen, or anywhere else in your home and it will serve as a clock when not being used. But when you use it you’ll get the power of Alexa. Ask it for the news, to play your music, or even to read you a book. Basically, use it just like you would use a standard Amazon Echo. Unlike that device, however, the Echo Spot is equipped with a 2.5-inch screen. That screen allows you watch video clips, see the lyrics to the song that’s playing, browse grocery lists, and much more. You can also use it to control your smart home with simple commands. If you’ve been thinking of getting an Echo, you may want to hold off until the Echo Spot hits Amazon on December 19.
