Honestly, we don’t know what to expect from MINDHUNTER but we think that’s kind of the point. After all, neither did the FBI when they were first starting projects like this one. The barebones plot summary would be something like, two FBI agents attempt to jump-start an agency program that would help them analyze the behavioral patterns of serial killers, but, like we said, that’s almost guaranteed not to be the only thing the series tackles. Apparently it’s also based on the nonfiction book by approximately the same name (there’s a space in the book title), so while this might be dramatized, it’s pulling significant amounts of material from the real world. Expect October 13 to be a release date filled with anxiety, paranoia, and a sudden resurgence in Google search stats for “John Wayne Gacy.”
