A little backstory, because if you don’t know what’s going on, the following movie trailer will seem super bizarre. In 2003, a film produced and starred in by Tommy Wiseau was released. It was called The Room, and it would go on to be considered, by many, the worst movie ever made. (If you need proof, see here.) That brings us to The Disaster Artist, a coming biographical comedy about the making of The Room. But while The Room is great in a terrible way, The Disaster Artist looks to be great in an actually great way. It stars James Franco, Seth Rogen, Josh Hutcherson, Zac Effron, Sharon Stone, Melanie Griffith, and many more big names. The film received a standing ovation at South by Southwest and boasts an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score to boot. Go watch The Room and get ready for this.
