Turns out that silver in your underwear has a more practical purpose than keeping your more crucial parts out of the jaws of werewolves. Mack Weldon is the first to make underwear out of X-Static XT2, the patented silver/cotton hybrid fabric and not, as we thought, Tesla’s newest car model. The precious metal, when woven into underwear, helps regulate temperatures, making the underwear suitable for just about any activity in almost any weather. Silver is also antimicrobial, so the fabric of the underwear helps kill odor-causing bacteria. That means you won’t stink working out outdoors in the middle of an August heat wave. Tested to extremes, silver was shown to resist odor after more than two days straight without washing. Just don’t tell anyone we said that.
