The Caterham Seven 310 is the latest model to be released in the Seven series that’s been a “work in progress” for over half a century. Powered by an upgraded 1.6L Ford Sigma engine, the 310 produces 152 horses for a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 127 mph. Those numbers might not seem mind-blowing until you factor in the lightweight construction of the car for a 150bhp-per-ton power-to-weight ratio. Caterham has always been more about the legendary driving experience than overall starts, but that power-to-weight ratio bests the Aston Martin Vanquish 5.90 V12, Jaguar XK R S 4.2 V8 and the Camaro SS 6.2 V8. The car isn’t available Stateside yet, but we have high hopes this affordable roadster will join the Caterham pack here.
