Aston Martin Built a Street-Legal Hypercar That’s Faster Than an F1

Introducing what could possibly be the “most ambitious supercar project since the McLaren F1”—the AM RB 001. Created jointly by Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing, the AM RB 001 is the brainchild of F1 legend Adrian Newey and is potentially a game-changer for the high-end exotic market. With a normally aspirated bespoke V-12 and what can only be described as radical body design elements, the AM RB 001 is said to be faster than a race-trim F1 around a road course. That fact remains to be seen. However, with a structure of entirely F1 spec carbon fiber and 1 horsepower per kg (estimated 1000 kg weight, you do the math)—it is entirely possible. The price is steep and even though it is expected to be north of $2.5 million, there are over 300 well-heeled individuals in line to get their mitts on one.
