Even if you have one of those fancy universal remote controls that has more processing power than your first computer, the entire remote experience still leaves something to be desired. By the time you’re done switching inputs, changing tracks or figuring out how to dim your smart lights, you’ve wasted more time than you probably want to. Controlling it with fifteen different apps on your phone isn’t any less tedious, and that also drains your battery. Sevenhugs, a French startup in the smart home space, wants to change all of that with their new, contextual Smart Remote. Depending on what you point the remote at, the screen and UI change to make adjusting Philips Hue lights, Nest Thermostats or Sonos Speakers (the current products it’s compatible with) easier than ever.
