Unbreakable, scratch-proof sapphire glass. French calf leather strap in brown or black. Swiss-made everything. Analog, dual face with svelte hands and good color combinations. We’d have absolutely no problem paying around $400 for the Withings Activité if it was only a gorgeous watch, but it’s so much more than that. The second face of Activité functions as an analog representation of the daily objectives you set in the Health Mate App (number of steps, sleep time, etc.). It tracks everything with a built-in accelerometer that automatically switches between modes, and will even vibrate when you’ve completed an objective. Everything you manage on the watch itself (like checking your alarm clock) is done by double-tapping the glass. The biggest problems with the other wearables–outside of the fact that they’re ugly and made of silicone, which this clearly isn’t–is the constant charging. Activité runs on a standard button cell watch battery which will last a full year. You’ll never have to take it off.
