In what has to be one of the most interesting movie premises we’ve heard about in years, Yesterday is the story of a world where only one man remembers The Beatles. Up and coming actor Himesh Patel is a struggling musician named Jack that has all but given up on his dream of being a star, but then the power goes out all over the world. The next day, everyone but Jack has completely forgotten about The Beatles. Naturally, Jack decides to fill the void and appropriate all of their greatest hits to become the greatest singer/songwriter of all time. The film was directed by Danny Boyle and also stars Ana de Armas, Kate McKinnon and Lily James, along with cameos by James Corden, Ed Sheeran and what we’re sure will be a long list of other celebrities playing themselves. Yesterday hits theaters in the US on September 13, 2019.
