As previously mentioned, a very special vehicle will hit the auction floor at Bonham’s next week—the 2 millionth, and final, Land Rover Defender. To kick-off the countdown till the auction of this last Defender, Land Rover decided to… well… take over London. Unusual examples of this iconic 4×4 were found all over Central London. Londoners revelled in a Defender taxi and even a vintage Defender ice-cream truck. Basically, the entire city of London was awash in Defender fever. And in a final nod to the off-road heritage of the Defender, Land Rover is donating all proceeds of the auction to their conservation partners, the Born Free Foundation and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
