Almost a century ago, King Kong would make his first appearance in the eponymous 1933 film. Godzilla would follow just over two decades later. After both franchises got rebooted a handful of years ago, we’re finally at the heavyweight monster title match we’ve all been waiting for–Godzilla vs. Kong. The name really says it all with this one. There’s something about unseen forces and a war, but it’s Godzilla battling Kong–on an aircraft carrier for some of it!–with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler and many other famous faces make appearances, but the humans aren’t really important in the grander scheme of things. Godzilla vs. Kong will be released in theaters and streaming on HBO Max on March 26th.
