I have to admit that I’m something of a cocktail purist. So the idea of letting a machine prep my drink seems blasphemous. But, even I’m impressed by the potential of BLACK+DECKER’s bev, an automatic drink mixer. It’s been described as a Keurig for cocktails, and the comparison is apt considering the ease of preparing your drink. At the 2023 edition of CES, power tools manufacturer BLACK+DECKER debuted their updated version of the bev. This new version cuts the cord and instead relies on just a simple charge. So, you can now leave your robotic bartender wherever you’d like in your home. Simply attach up to six bottles of whatever spirits you’d like and place the Bartesian capsules of your choice in the front dispensing area. The new and improved edition of the bev can now make up to 250 drinks on a single charge, which should be able to get you through most nights. This version of the bev is set to hit the market in spring 2023 with a $400 price tag.
