Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators Now Have Built-In Microphones

Teenage Engineering has a history of producing interesting products that equally prioritize fun and functionality. Their line of Pocket Operator portable synths and sequencers has been updated with the addition of the K.O! and Speak models that include built-in microphones. In addition to the new microphone, each unit has a 16-step sequencer, 16 patterns, parameter locks, built-in speaker, animated LCD display, clock/alarm functionality and 1 month of battery life. But wait, there’s more! Each of the two models is a little bit different in terms of features. The K.O! (PO-33) is a micro sampler with 40 seconds of memory, 8 melodic sample slots, 8 drum slots, 16 effects and a step multiplier. The Speak (PO-35) is a vocal synthesizer and sequencer with 2 minutes of memory, 8 voice characters, 8 effects, transpose and scale change. Even if you never plan on using the samples for anything, these things are a hell of a lot of fun just to play with.
