If you thought the recently revealed Samsung Odyssey 49″ Curved QLED Gaming Monitor was going to be the biggest and most feature-packed screen unveiled at CES, wait until you see their latest flagship TV. The new Q950TS 8K QLED TV is “the first TV in the industry to feature surround sound audio, true-to-life 8K resolution and a stunning, ultra-thin form factor.” What’s that mean once there’s one of these bad boys in your living room? 85 enormous inches of screen space at 8K resolution with nary a bezel in sight because of the 99% screen-to-body ratio and a razor thin form factor. It also has six built-in speakers and Object Tracking Sound so noise appears to come from it’s location on screen. Still not sold? There’s also: AV1 codec support, direct LED lighting, a mic that helps optimize sound, Active Tone Mapping for precise colors and AI upscaling for older content. If you’ve got the cash–and we imagine it’s going to have a pretty hefty price tag once they reveal it–this is probably the best current TV you can own.
