In a world of fancy smartphones, sometimes you just need something that can take a licking. Nokia’s 800 Tough Phone doesn’t care much about great photos, movie streaming, or a ginormous screen. What it does care about is IP68 certified water and dust resistance, as well as clumsy fumbles on pavement and temperatures that would cause regular smartphones to crap out. But it’s not all work and no play because the 800 runs on KaiOS with social media app capability, a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and 512MB of RAM. You can also use a microSD card to up the 800’s 4GB of internal storage. There’s also a 2mp rear camera with flash and up to 9.4 hours of talk time and 22.4 days of standby time. It’s a phone that does most of what you need minus any worry about being too delicate to handle the rigors of your day.
