Cambridge Audio out of the UK has a storied past rooted in London’s rock culture, and they’ve managed to not just keep their nostalgic ethos, but they’ve also entered the world of high tech audio feet first. Their latest headphone offering is called the Melomania Touch, and it comes on the heels of their successful, bullet-shaped Melomania 1 headphones. The Touch takes their wireless Bluetooth headphone tech to the next level with a brilliant programmable Transparency mode that allows you to control the level of ambient sounds, so you can totally isolate from or stay connected with the outside world. They also provide superb sound quality thanks to Hi-Fi grade amplification, greater soundstage, lower noise, and a higher dynamic range that belie their size. The Touch also has excellent fitment, Siri and Google Voice control, as well as the ingenious Melomania App for audio customization. Playtime is 9 hours and a total of 50 with the vegan leather charging case. They also happen to be about as ergonomic and comfortable as wireless earbuds can be, apart from pricey custom earbuds. Now, time to crank up some Bowie.
