Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade

The face of gaming is changing, and Apple is in on it. They just announced a gaming subscription service known as Apple Arcade, and instead of streaming games to devices, the new service provides proprietary titles installed from their App Store. 100 new games will be available for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, and players can download and try games at any time and also resume play from one device to another. And, thankfully, there will be no ads or in-app purchases. Game creators for the new service include Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, LEGO, SEGA, and more. Pricing hasn’t been revealed, nor the full list of games, but the service will launch in the fall of 2019 in more than 150 countries across the globe. Bring on the late nights and any lack of real productivity.
