Field watches are everywhere, but when they show up as minimalist and right-sized as this one, take notice. The Instrmnt Applied Design Field watch borrows no-nonsense styling from early 20th century military timepieces but adds a hefty dose of modern with its matte finish dial and bold font. What’s more, it uses a Seiko VS37A solar-powered movement, so it eschews the old-school hand-wound approach and provides up to five months of charge on one day of natural or indoor lighting. The 38mm three-piece stainless steel case is capped off with a sapphire crystal for excellent scratch resistance. Buyers can choose between a white or black dial and numerous straps. $138 pre-order deposits are being accepted now. (The full price of the watch is $309.)

Whether you’re wearing dark denim and a button-down, or slacks and a jacket, the best way to complete any outfit is with a great watch. Citizen’s Eco-Drive has plenty of great options that will have you looking better than ever, but our current favorite when it comes to checking all the boxes is the Endeavor watch you see here. With a two-tone, gold and silver stainless bracelet, 3-hand blue dial with dual time and magnified date window, along with luminous markets and anti-reflective sapphire crystal, this gorgeous watch takes any getup to the next level.
