Volkswagen x Arctic Trucks Amarok AT35 Concept

Volkswagen x Arctic Trucks Amarok AT35 Concept

If you haven’t heard of the Volkswagen Amarok, you’re not alone. It’s the VW pickup truck we don’t get here in the states, and we’re green with envy. That much more so when its built like the special collab with off-road, custom builder Artic Trucks to create the AT35 Concept. The specialized truck was commissioned by Reykjavík, Iceland VW dealer, Hekla. The already rugged and capable body-on-frame Amarok (truck-based, versus car-based unibody trucks) gets properly Frankensteined with increased ride height, beefier wheels and tires, huge fender flares, and a practical bed cap to keep vital goods out of the elements. But it’s more than just a bounding beast. The AT35 Concept is made for expedition-level trips thanks to its portable generator, fire extinguisher, and all-important and sanity-imparting cappuccino machine. This singular Amarok is actually in the throes of snow-tossing customer tours and special off-road jaunts on behalf of the dealership.
