We think the Volkswagen ID.Aero sedan looks way better than the ID.4 EV crossover that’s currently on American roads. Despite the fact that sedans aren’t very hot right now, EV sedans seem to do just fine. Case in point, the Tesla Model 3. VW wants to go after that set with guns blazing, and the ID.Aero looks ready to take it on with clean styling from front to back, a large greenhouse, and great EV range of up to 385 miles (on the European WLTP drive cycle, which means a bit less of an EPA rating). Buyers can choose between front-wheel drive (385 miles) and all-wheel drive (300 miles). The car will come with 22″ two-tone flush wheels and schmancy high-tech illuminated touch-surface door handles. It will hit production and sell overseas in 2023 and is expected to come to America at an unspecified date. Let the EV wars wage on.
