The 2023 BMW 7-Series Goes Electric

The BMW flagship sedan gets redesigned in a big way and also gets a trim that’s fully electric, the i7. The top trim i7 xDrive60 gets over 300 miles of range and delivers a robust 536 horsepower and 549 lb-ft of torque from its two electric motors that power all four wheels. The interior is all visual feasting with an enormous BMW Curved Display up front, front armrest mini-tablet controls, and an optional 31.3″ 8K rear touchscreen display that can stream the built-in Amazon Fire TV entertainment to some seriously lucky passengers. Other fancy optional features include a panoramic glass roof with an LED light show, a 36-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system, Highway Assist hands-free driving at speeds up to 80 mph, and Swarovski crystal headlights. Gas versions of the new 7-Series include a 3.0L TwinPower Turbo inline-six and a 4.4L TwinPower Turbo V8 with xDrive all-wheel-drive. Whether or not you’ll like the massive kidney grilles and the split headlight cluster is up to you.
