Count on Hyundai to make nostalgia futuristic. The South Korean brand’s latest creation isn’t for sale, sadly. To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Grandeur sedan (which was never sold in America), they turned it into a slick and loungy EV. While there’s no word on what kind of electric motor(s) and battery lies beneath, the car itself looks spectacular with pixelated LED lighting in front and back, new silver trim, a fresh eggcrate grille, and the kind of interior that looks straight out of a futuristic jazz lounge. The rear headliner has an infinity mirror with multi-layered lights, and the big screen in front spans almost the entire width of the dash. Our favorite aspect, however, is the velvet and leather upholstery with ties in the seatbacks. The special EV will be on display at the brand’s new design studio in Busan.
