Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Pickup

Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Pickup

Developed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles, Chevrolet’s new Colorado ZR2 Bison pickup is an off-road beast clearly aimed at the Ford Raptor options. The buffalo that the Chevy option is named after probably wouldn’t fare well against an actual raptor in a fight, but their truck definitely does. In addition to the burly profile, the Colorado ZR2 Bison has stamped steel bumpers, an optional AEV snorkel and 31″ Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires wrapped on ZR2 Bison-specific 17 x 8″ aluminum wheels. You won’t have to worry about your undercarriage on your overland adventures, because it has five hot-stamped boron steel skid plates that cover the oil pan, fuel tank, Autotrac transfer case and the front and rear locking differentials. The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison will be available in January 2019 with two different powertrain options (3.6L V6 and eight-speed automatic or a 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel with a six-speed automatic) and the option for crew or extended cab configurations.
