2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

If “shock and awe” were a vehicle, the 710-horsepower, Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat would qualify, hands down. With 235 more horses and 175 more lb-ft of torque than the already frighteningly quick Durango SRT 392, the Durango Hellcat defies the laws of physics, launching to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.5 seconds, rocketing the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds, and hitting a top speed of 180 mph. That acceleration time is half a second faster than a Porsche 911 Carrera, and the Hellcat weighs 5,600 pounds. It’s the world’s most powerful SUV, and it’s quicker than the BMW X5 M Competition, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR, and the Bentley Bentayga. You can thank the Hellcat’s monster supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 for that. It also gets Hellcat styling cues like a unique grille and front fascia, big fender flares, Brembo brakes, beefier suspension components, launch control/launch assist, and a specially-trimmed interior. All this roadway terror for a mere $77,000. The Durango SRT Hellcat should hit dealerships in limited numbers sometime next year.
